The Pew Forum has completed an interesting study on the Muslim population worldwide. Muslims make up 1.57 billion of the 6.8 billion people worldwide. Muslims make-up 1 in 5 people in the world. More than 300 million Muslims live in countries where Islam is not the majority religion. In India Muslims make up 14% of that countries population and yet the number of Muslims in India exceed those in Egypt and Turkey combined.
