Operators, working with operators

We’re owners too. That’s why we work with owners.

We’ve built companies, run them, and felt the cost. We work with owner-operators who are playing the long game and see success the way we do, because that’s the work we’d want someone to do for us.

Thirty years, on average, of building

Experience from running businesses.

Every one of our Principals has founded a company, and many still own and run one. We’ve led inside Fortune 500 companies and built startups from nothing. One of ours went from zero to $30 million in sales in four years.

We take what twenty years of building has taught us and put it to work inside other businesses. We know how to move fast and we know the mistakes that come with it, because we’ve made plenty of them, and over enough years you start to see the patterns. Our team comes from different places and thinks in different ways, and what we share is that we love solving problems, most of all the ones that matter.

We’re as comfortable in a five-person shop as in a Fortune 500 executive suite, as long as we are strongly aligned with the people leading the vision and direction of the business.

Tony Capucille

Principal AI Architect

Tony founded Common Good and owns it. Born, raised and educated in Oklahoma, he spent nearly two decades in payments. He joined Heartland Payment Systems as a sales representative, became the youngest Chief Sales Officer in the Fortune 1000 in 2012, and after Heartland merged with Global Payments (NYSE: GPN) he served as President of U.S. Payment and Payroll. He led that business past $2 billion in annual revenue and more than 400,000 clients, and helped move Heartland’s headquarters to downtown Oklahoma City.

Then he walked away to test whether a business built on more than one capital could work. In August 2020 he co-founded EightTwenty with Kent Cissell to bring solar energy to their communities, and the two were later selected as Endeavor Entrepreneurs. In August 2023 he co-founded Brightwell, which brings together impact investors, nonprofits and solar partners so nonprofits can stabilize their energy costs. In November 2025 he founded Common Good Consulting to help other owner-operators build businesses that count more than profit.

Tony holds a BS in finance and a BA in biblical languages from Oklahoma Baptist University. Tony is married to Christy, and they have four kids. He gardens, reads, takes walks, bakes bread and cooks. He builds his community through his work, because he believes good work is one of the best ways a community gets built.

A small team pointed at one business

Who shows up.

  • 01

    Principals

Owner-operators with first-hand experience. They walk your business with you, map out the opportunity, and work with you to give you time back. Their goal is your time, not their fee.

  • 02

    AI Systems Architect

Designs the floor your organization builds upon: which tools, how they connect, and what to build or buy.

  • 03

    Forward Deployed Engineers

Build the tools your business needs, one hard problem at a time, scoped and shipped.

  • 04

    Design Architect

Makes everything you receive look and feel like your business.

  • 05

    Implementation Associates

Set up the systems with your people and train the person who will own them after we leave.

  • 06

    Practice Manager

Owns the relationship end to end: scope, schedule, billing, and making sure you’re never in the dark.

The team

The people behind the seats.

  • Kent Cissell

    Principal Forward Deployed Engineer

Co-founded EightTwenty with Tony in 2020, where the two were named Endeavor Entrepreneurs, and co-founded Brightwell in 2023, where he’s President.

  • Trey Raymer

    Forward Deployed Engineer, Financial Systems

CPA. Chief Financial Officer across the companies and a co-founder of Brightwell. He wires a company’s books into the rest of the business. A cash report that took a week and a half now runs almost instantly.

  • Brian Workman

    AI Systems Architect

Chief Technology Officer across EightTwenty and Brightwell. He built Beacon, the proposal platform EightTwenty runs on, and the Brightwell Portal. Nothing we build reaches a client until Brian has checked it’ll stand.

  • Evan DeWalt

    Design Architect

Senior Vice President of Marketing across EightTwenty and Brightwell. He designed this site and Gateway’s brand standards, and everything a client sees passes through his hands.

  • Mohammad Ansari

    Forward Deployed Engineer

Builds the tools a business leans on every day: the pricing, the reports and the views people check. He built the framework behind the Common Good client portal.

  • Owen Cain

    Implementation Associate

Sets every person up in their seat and stays with them until it runs. When someone on a client’s team needs help with the tools, Owen’s who they call.

Growth isn’t the goal

We take on only as many owners as we can truly help.

We take on only as many engagements as we can serve well. The failure we worry about most is taking on more businesses than we can genuinely know and handing someone a template when they were expecting us. Good work takes time, and we’d rather do less of it well.

Nobody here makes more than six times what the person at the base makes, and the time AI gives back goes to the people who did the work.

We work face to face where we can, from Oklahoma City and Louisville.
